Tomorrow is my 3rd anniversary with my wife! I can’t believe it’s been 3 years already. It feels like it’s gone by in the blink of an eye. Some days have been long, but for the most part the time has flown by ridiculously fast.
Last year we celebrated with her surprising me with a fun trip to a super cool place where we stayed in something called the honeycombs. It’s this small hotel built into the side of a hill. Each room has its own personal patio/balcony, which was neat. It was only an overnight trip though and we decided that we wanted to take longer trips.
I started planning her surprise trip almost as soon as we got home last June. I looked at all kinds of cool things, like treehouses and cabins. I wanted to do something extra special for her. And then I finally found it in early December. The place is something that she genuinely loves…which is a Frank Lloyd Wright house that you can actually stay in! That’s definitely right up her alley.
So we have this amazing house all to ourselves, with amazing 12 foot windows that let in so much natural light. She made chicken tacos for dinner and then we went walking around the property and checked out the river that’s behind the house. It was amazing. We have decided to spend our time here relaxing for the most part. It’s what we both need after the insanity that has been this year so far. So to have a place to just relax and enjoy our time together is so amazing.
We currently have a fire going while we listen to music and enjoy someplace new and comfortable. This is exactly what we both needed this to be!
