I think the better question for me is when do I NOT play! I am in a place in life where I don’t have to work thanks to my military retirement, VA disability compensation, and my sugar mama wife! I work for her at her museum when she needs additional security in the gallery where exhibitions change out. Sometimes she borrows things that require a warm body to watch what’s going on and make sure no one damages anything.
I’m hoping to start a business that I will go into detail on later this year, after I make more progress. I’d also like to publish a fiction book at some point. But both of those things don’t really feel like work to me; it feels much more like play. I think most of that has to do with my personality. I pretty much try to find fun wherever I’m at. It makes life much more interesting and bearable.
I always want to live an enjoyable life and I do think that depends on you. I used to take life way too seriously and I wasn’t happy at all. I was unable to see the lighter side of life. I wish that I hadn’t wasted that time being so serious, but I can’t change that. All I can do is enjoy life now!
