Best daily prompt ever!
This was my life for 20 years. I wore a flight suit every day for years, other than most weekends. On deployments, I pretty much wore it for at least part of every day. Of course than wasn’t the standard green one, it was tan to match the environment we were in.
I think that being forced to wear the same thing over and over again is probably distressing for most people, but I always found it to be a relief. It made getting ready in the morning so much easier. There’s no choice to make, other than which one of the many flight suits I owned at the time. Same boots, same kind of socks. (I must admit that the last few years of my career, I was wearing socks that can only be compared to Hawaiian shirts. In a flight suit with boots, no one could ever tell what I was actually wearing for socks. I found out in the last year I was in that I wasn’t the only one in funky socks. I still have those socks too, but can’t bring myself to wear them yet. I still love them, but I still need more time.)
If I was forced to wear the same thing over and over again now, I’m not exactly sure what I would choose, although I have several pairs of pants in different colors that I love to wear, along with a group of shirts that are super comfortable. In cooler weather, I wear a hoodie or long sleeve shirt to stay warm.
So I guess I pretty much still wear a “uniform!”
