Ok, I’ve had this idea for a long and I’m not sure it’s crazy but I think it would actually be awesome.
It would be a business for people who moved to a new area and needed someone to set up all their utilities, register kids for school, find doctors, dentists, and other things, and handle all those pesky things that suck about moving somewhere new.
I moved a lot when I was in the military and all of that nonsense was exhausting when I arrived at a new place. I suppose the idea would work best in a military town where people are always coming and going. I’m not sure how much people move into new places as non-military. So this might not benefit most people. That might be the crazy part.
But just imagine if you just answered a bunch of questions, provided important information like your social security number, kids’ school records, medical needs, and payment info and then all these things were just done for you? No time wasted for you, because the company has individuals for each need, like 2-3 people who set up all the utilities, another 2-3 that handle doctor transfers, and a huge group to handle school registrations. That’s probably the most annoying part.
OH, the company could also handle driver’s license renewals and car registrations. You just had to provide a certificate of a passing eye test or something. That would be something that could benefit people in any town. I hate those processes. Last year I saw a meme that said something about the DMV turning you away because you forgot to bring the Declaration of Independence. I had just been to the BMV as we call it here with Boy #1 and it was a production to get his license transferred over to this state from Florida.
So yes, I think a business that handles those things no one REALLY wants to do would be great!!
