Five things I’m good at in no particular order:
- Observing everything around me quickly and without any effort. It just happens automatically. (Thank you ADHD!)
- Solving really strange problems that paralyze other people, even techie things that I’ve never seen before.
- When I close my eyes, I can see how electricity flows, how radar works, how something mechanic happens, how water will flow around strange obstacles, and other bizarre things that I’ve been taught, learned myself, or observed other people doing. It directly contributes to #2!
- Learning people. In 1-2 conversations I know what makes someone tick and how I can best interact with them. This is how I always seem to befriend the most difficult people that everyone else strongly dislikes.
- Getting people to talk about themselves. This helps me with #4 and also helps me to understand groups of people in general. I like to understand why and how people hold the beliefs they do. I find that just letting people talk and asking them questions helps me understand so much more than forming rapid opinions based on observations alone.
