After yesterday’s dreary “what I’m worried about in the future”, this is a nice post to follow that up.
I’m excited about coaching soccer in the fall, the new school year, Boy #3 running cross country, Boy #1 starting college, Boy #2 looking at colleges this summer/fall, Girl trying out lacrosse this fall, coaching her team’s lacrosse goalies, working at my wife’s museum for a few months, and NaNoWriMo in November. And then it’s the holiday season again! I always love the holidays.
Longer term future is just a vague excitement for opportunities that have not yet presented themselves and the hope of unexpected twists and turns that go well and lead me on journeys I never expected to find. I like living life always looking for a new journey or opportunity, especially now that I have the support of my wife and I’m on much better terms with my parents.
The future is exciting to me. It always seems bright and hopeful, even when I’m going through hard times.
