I have stopped “shoulding” myself. I used to live in this bubble where I was always putting myself down for the things I SHOULD be doing. I SHOULD be more productive, I SHOULD work harder, I SHOULD get more sleep, I SHOULD work out more. I still catch myself doing it from time to time, but not as much as I used to. It was really robbing me of joy and making me miserable. No one deserves to hear all that shoulding themselves. It’s really just a way to tear yourself down.
