WOKE.
If I never hear that word again, it will be TOO SOON. Most people who run around complaining about WOKE IDEOLOGY don’t even know what they are talking about. Define woke. It’s ok, I’ll wait. Well, you can’t? How do you know you are against something you can’t even define. Oh sure, that crazy gender ideology and CRT stuff. Riiiiight, yeah, ok, sure. What does CRT mean? Talking about race and making white people feel guilty? Call me crazy, but that sounds like a you problem. I don’t feel guilty about slavery because I wasn’t personally involved, but I do feel angry and upset about it. Who wouldn’t? Who thinks it’s ok to treat another group of humans like animals? Who thinks slavery was a mutually beneficial program? Ron DeSantis and his henchmen? Yeah, not the side I’d be aligning myself with. There’s nothing beneficial about being treated as less than human, try again.
OHHHH, it’s that huge conspiracy to confuse everyone so they don’t even know what gender they are. That’s how the world will be taken over! Except…there’s not some huge majority of people that are trans or non-binary. The majority of people are cool with exactly the way they are born. Soooo, tell me again how there’s some huge conspiracy to confuse everyone and make them believe they are the opposite gender…or no gender at all!
So let’s for one minute examine the word itself. Woke is the opposite of…asleep? So being asleep means you are…unaware? Unconscious? Incapable of thought? Vulnerable? I think we are ON to something here!! Please, yes, allow me to remain unconscious and unaware instead of WOKE.
But the real problem is that there’s a vulnerability in not understanding the changing world around you. And so you cling to that vulnerability, afraid to accept that you are scared of everyone who is not like you. That’s what all of this anti-woke is about…feeling vulnerable and like somehow being unaware is the best choice.
Whatever, just please stop saying woke. Or anti-woke. Or anything about it.
