SNEAKERS! I love sneakers. I’ve been addicted to sneakers as long as I can remember. I worked at a sporting goods store in the footwear department a long time ago. It was one of the most enjoyable jobs I’ve ever had. I was great at up-selling, particularly for running shoes as I was running all the time and testing out a lot of our inventory. I could talk people out of the sale shoes and into something a little better for what their goals were. I also shocked many parents when I was doing the sizing and their child was actually at least a size, but once up to three sizes larger than expected. Even though I knew I could up-sell well, I didn’t do it unless someone asked a lot of specific questions and definitely wanted the best they could get. I was never obnoxious about that though, espeecially if someone came in for the dad New Balance shoes that we always sold for $44.99. No one is talking those dads out of those shoes!
