Today’s question is…favorite cartoon.

Mine is The Jetsons. It’s a tough thing to choose, really, because I loved cartoons as a kid. Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, and Tom and Jerry were all awesome.

I wanted to live in the world the Jetsons were in. It was so fun to have things just happen and a cleaning robot, Rosie, to do all the cleaning for you. You just push buttons and food appears. It was all futuristic, but not at the same time. Looking back, it feels very midcentury modern to me, even though it was set in 2062. Maybe we will actually have flying cars by then.

Cleaning robots are a thing…I had a Neato vacuum that I left behind in FL. And I guess vending machines are push-button food, although not quite the same. I would live in a Jetsons style house, though, in a heartbeat. In the next few months, I will start bringing us into this century with Alexa and more automation and cameras outside. That’s kind of Jetsons-like.

Unsurprising to anyone who has read my blog before, I always identified most with Elroy and NOT Judy ever. That also may have been because I wasn’t a teenager, just a younger kid, so I couldn’t relate to Judy at all.
